The Riverglen Challenge Race has been cancelled due to a sudden illness of the race organizer.
The Riverglen Challenge is a running and walking event for all ages to benefit Health & fitness programs at the Littleton Senior Center. The 5.5-mile course follows the Ammonoosuc River then climbs around Mt Eustis with an exciting finish crossing both a suspension and a covered foot bridge. There are also shorter 3/4 and two-mile courses along Riverwalk Park. All families who register with three or more generations will receive a special Family Clan Award - so rally the clan from grandparents to great grandchildren and take the challenge.

Courses:
The race is USA Track and Field sanctioned and timed by Bay State Race Services. Walkers are welcome on all three courses with the shorter two being relatively flat. The longer 5.5-mile run or walk has several hills with a 350-foot gain in elevation. It starts between the Senior Center and Riverglen House and proceeds 1/4 mile along the Riverwalk path, turns onto Riverside Drive for 1/2 mile and then onto Industrial Park Road for 2.2 miles. At Mt. Eustis Road the course turns left and begins a steep climb for .7 mile along a scenic road and the shoulder of the mountain. The course is rolling for 1/2 mile before the steep downhill section. At the bottom of Mt. Eustis Road the course turns onto Bronson Street, through a small neighborhood then briefly onto South Street before crossing over the suspension bridge. The bridge is a sturdy, cable-steel design that will sway a little as you pass so mind your stride. After the bridge the course turns right onto Saranac and Mill Streets before crossing the covered footbridge and the finish at the Senior Center and Riverglen House. Click here for Maps.....
